Package Pricing with My COST

Let me see if I can put this concisely...

As part of a mid level wedding package, I offer $200.00 worth of prints in the package. Lets say at my published pricing in the package paperwork that would give the client (40) 5"x7" luster prints but in fact cost me $40.00 at Bay Photo pricing. How do I allow them to order at their price while I pay the actual Bay Photo cost?

  • Do I need to find out what they want and order it for them?
  • Is there a way to allow them to order directly through the SM purchasing steps?

If anyone has figured this out or has advice, your input would be appreciated.

Scott

Sounds like a perfect use for coupons: http://www.smugmug.com/help/coupon-codes

Create a custom coupon for them for $200 off an order and limit it to one-time use and set whatever expiration you want. Deliver the coupon code and let them order what they want without hassle. thumb.gif

Merci! I have had such a mental block over this. I do appreciate the answer.

Any pros or cons for the option of a DOLLARS OFF coupon verses the PRINT CREDIT coupon?
