Tom, interesting piece. Has a familiar sense to it I can hold onto while
slipping away.
Was wondering if it was Read or Reid. Couldn't find other works under Read.
Just Reid. Curious. Was wanting to view other works by this fellow.

Hi Michael,
His name is Read. I bought this piece at an exhibit of his works that he was also attending. He was very interesting to talk with. I'm not certain, but I believe he said he lived in the Tampa, Fl area. All of his work is done with the palette knife....or at least all that I personally saw....but, within that medium, his subject matter is all over the map. A friend that was with me bought a very large ( and very expensive ) rendering of a bed of flowers that is one of the most strikingly beautiful paintings I've ever seen.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Hi Richard,
That's an abstract of a painting by Bill Read that hangs in my bar at home. I consider myself very lucky to have one of his original works.
Take care,
Tom

Thanks, Gary. This particular piece is a favorite of mine.
