For a couple of years I've had some Japanese Font in my Custom Header it was coded like this:

<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/gallery/33392">新らしい写真</A> |
<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/Outdoors-Hikes-Climbs-etc">アウトドア</A> |
<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/Pacific Northwest">オレゴン、ワシントン州</A> |
<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/Travel">旅行</A> |
<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/Family">家族</A> |
<A HREF="http://guy.smugmug.com/gallery/4324535_qSswm">ゲストブック</A> |
</CENTER>
</FONT>
All of a sudden it's stopped working and now it just shows a bunch of random symbols!! Has something changed on Smugmug's end? I haven't made any changes in a long time.
Thanks.

Absolutely SM must be having a problem & it's not just with non-English characters which are TOTALLY screwed up (ours are Russian & total gibberish), but also with certain symbols. Our home page previously had a 'dot' separating the NAV bar titles which are showing up as weird symbols. I tried deleting & reinstalling the code for this, but the same thing showed up. Even some of our English navigation is screwed up & something like apostrophes. SM is down at the moment - hope they're trying to fix this!!

We don't have that symbol in our language. When I remove it, it immediately reappears. I hope SmugMug is going to fix this!
Probably something went wrong with the maintenance they did today

Got a chance and visited Wellington last year as well.

It's showing in my footer now too - when I look at the source from the displayed web page it shows there. But you're right, smug is putting that garbage in there. So much for testing...

:-) I'm sure it will get fixed soon, Denise
W.W. - yes, of course I enjoyed it. New Zealand is such a magical place! We go there every year and never get enough ! ;-)

Just in case I'd recommend not to make any changes to affected characters until it's resolved.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Sorry for the trouble, but we'll have it fixed up a bit later today. You need do nothing, it's on our end and we'll get it sorted. Sorry for the hassle!

I would suggest that you review your test procedures. There have been entirely too many breaks as you roll out new code - and issues like this one should have been caught before rolling the changes into production.
At least this particular error doesn't stop viewing of galleries, but it does give a non-professional appearance to our sites.
