Film/Negative Scanner Recommendations

I am the care taker of our family photographs and have a box of negatives from the 1940's forward and need a scanner that will scan the larger size negatives. I know there are treasures to be found in that box!

Any recommendations for a reasonably priced scanner that will allow me to not only scan the larger sizes as well as preview them?

Thanks for the help!

Depending on your real needs, of how large and enlargement you may want to make down the road, could determine the amount to spend on a scanner...here is a link to Epson Scanners....personally I probably would not go below and Epson V500 PHOTO and if I could afford it then an Epson V750M PRO.....
here is the link: clik here

also check on the Epson site for a refurb...much cheaper and same warranty, some items can even get extended warranties.......

I moved this to the Digital Darkroom Gear forum where you'll find more scanner threads.

Please be specific about the negative sizes and the volume you have to scan. Your answers will help to define our advice.
