Quite like the way this turned out after PP, what do you think? C&C welcome.

I really like the processing. The lamp pole on the right bothers me a little though.

Good angle and processing. Now I am going to challenge you to include people in your future shots for this forum.

That would be a start... Then when you post like that, you will be challenged to get up close and personal!

BTW, the tradition of street and PJ would frown on your cloning out a part of the photo. Once you do that, then "Other Cool Shots" would be a more appropriate forum to post such photo.

OK, see what you mean now. Anyone wants to move it to a more appropriate place feel free :D

Just to clarify: there is no rule in the Street forum regarding cloning--or anything else, for that matter. If you are doing professional photojournalism, you can get into big trouble for it. If you are doing fine art, it doesn't matter at all. deal.gif

Any opinions on the pic while you are here?

I like the light and the sky. The shadows on the sidewalk are nice. The conversion looks fine. But I'm not drawn into it. It seems to be lacking a subject. ne_nau.gif

No problem with the idea of images of chairs. In fact google "Michael Wolf Bastard Chairs" and have a look. I've taken many shots of just chairs as well. What's missing in your shot is tension or a point of focus. I'd also prefer a stronger black point and contrast. Lots of dark grey in the image.

I'm also going to contradict Richard slightly. Cloning is frowned upon in most Street and Documentary crowds, especially in competitions, scholarships or grants. But yes, as "Fine Art" you can pretty much do whatever you want.
