Basically you have more than one person who wants the same thing. They all have $ to burn and while they have a $ surplus they are a tad short in the grey matter dept. Fortunately for the artist they are real stubborn.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Doesn't conventional wisdom on these boards say you must offer downloads? :D

I wonder what kind of comments that shot would have gotten in the people forum.

"Great shot, but the dress clashes with the tile floor."
"Awkward crop of the model's left arm."
"Hot spot on forehead, and what's she holding with her right hand?"
"Misses the mark, but good effort. Keep shooting!"

that's what bothers me so much about photography..

Daily do I see images in magazines, on billboards etc.. Daily do I think to myself "wow, I would've totally scrapped that shot if I took it"..

where does one stop..? how to know what is good enough?

that's crazy, about this shot.. I just don't get paying so much for.. that..

I'll say it...if I had 3.9 million spare change just laying around I would not have bought that.

No matter how bad you think your work is, there maybe someone out there who gives it a much higher value.
WTB: 1GB and 512k CF cards.
I have a need for a decent # of these smaller cards. If you have multiple cards that would be great. I am located at zip code 35243 & 35255.

most likely a case of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winner's_curse

I'm not sure if the pattern is 100% but most Tallest Building/Longest Bridge/Fastest Airplane/ etc seem to end up as failures, at least for their investors (they might make a name for the city/company, but they don't make money).
