We were able to visit San Antonio, TX again this weekend. This time we visited the San Antonio Zoo. I had a blast! Took almost 10GB of shots that filled 2 4GB and 1 2GB CF cards. Luckily my kid brought along his Macbook so I was able to transfer the files at night to free up my cards for the next day. Here's one of the good shots that I was able to get. I had lots of throw-aways. Poor lighting, birds won't cooperate, lots of bystanders, too many sexy girls that distracts my attention eek.pngbiggrin.png Just kidding.

If somebody could ID this bird for me I would be very glad. My fault, I just took pictures without taking some shots of the tag board of the birds. I'm thinking of the precious memory space rather than ID'ing the birds first. redface.png

Nice shot, Jiro. It looks like they were cooperating, for the moment. Sorry I can't help ID them

Not so distracted you couldn't get this shot :D Nice composition and vivid sharp on the subjects. Somekind of goose. Search brings up "Swan Goose" best I can tell.

I'm sure the folks on the wildlife side will ID it pretty quickly. It's a beautiful duck; the neck is gorgeous. So is the photo ... so sharp and great colors! Glad to hear your son saved the day with the mac! :)

Thanks, Werner. Out of the 5 shots I took, this is the most promising so I picked this one for processing. :D

Thank you very much, Michael. A lot of visitors started to pour in early at the zoo and it was really hard to get some decent shots with all those people walking around. I guess I got lucky that some of the shots turned out good and usable. :D

Thanks, Eia. Without my kids laptop, I would not have taken some more shots as I only have 2 CF cards with me during the trip. :D

    Take care,

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
