I recently had a visitor drop by here in Sydney. One of the more interesting lunch options here is to use the Sydney Seaplane service to drop you off and pick you up at one of two somewhat remote restaurants on the Hawkesbury River. The one we chose was the Berowa Waters Inn (great food).

Given my position in the plane, the wing intruded into the photos a bit and I've only done a little bit of editing so far, but here are some of the highlights.

Taxiing down the runway in Rose Bay. These little planes take six passengers, one lucky enough to sit in the co-pilot's seat. Not me unfortunately.

Akuna Bay. This is in the Hawkesbury River area, some very serious boats parked here. The river is surrounded by the Ku Ring Gai national park.

The Hawkesbury River inlet, Cowan Creek and the National Park.

Arrival at the Restaurant. Yes, I need to clone out the cable. You can only arrive by boat or plane. They have a water taxi to pick people up from the opposite bank.

The return flight takes a slightly scenic route via some all to familiar landmarks.

End of the day in Rose Bay. Off for a drink or two.
