Is there a way to have multiple URL's point to my SmugMug page so that I can have .com, .net etc all end up at my page?

You're .net address could be forwarded to your .com address (so that when someone types the .net address, it automatically takes them to the .com address). Smugmug only supports having one custom domain so they all need to end up on the one address. You would also want to do it that way for SEO since it's bad to have multiple addresses pointing at the same content.

Aahhh, I was wondering this same thing. I mean, I knew it was best to have the .net forward to the .com or whatever, but I'd love some tips on how to go about getting it to forward. Is there a cheapest/easiest or even free way to do this? I have a couple extra domains and for now would like them all to forward to winsomeworks.com .

Your domain provider should offer domain forwarding. Just don't use masking because that will cause problems on Smugmug. When you forward a yyyyyyy.net to yyyyyyy.com, the user types yyyyyyyy.net into their browser and the URL in the browser then changes to yyyyyyyy.com and they are then on a normal yyyyyyyy.com Smugmug site.

Domain forwarding happens entirely at the domain provider and has nothing to do with Smugmug. Smugmug just sees the one Smugmug domain after the browser is forwarded to it.

I'm curious how the SEO get's penalized for a non-forwarding method to do this. headscratch.gif Mind going into detail? Thank you in advance! thumb.gif

Ok, thanks... Yes, I knew the forwarding couldn't happen here on Smug, but I didn't realize the domain itself could provide this. (I'm with GoDaddy). I don't even know what masking is, so I guess I wouldn't be trying to do it! So I think I understand that the method you describe is not masking & is OK. I have seen this in action, as my sister-in-law's store bought both the .net & .com domains & the .net forwards.
