These are very nice Dennis. Some nice light and brilliant colors. I would have liked to see a bit more room on top and bottom. Heads feel crowded especially. These ducks are beautiful. Unfortunately I did not see many this season or last and did not capture any photos.

Great pics -- second one is outstanding in my opinion. It really captures some of the subtle colors that you don't see unless you are up close and personal.

Thanks for the comments Mike, and I agree with your comment with a bit more space at the top and bottom, but the 500mm on the camera and these two images were shot in full frame so there was not enough to play with when editing these images..
such lovely birds... that first one looks like he's swimming in honey!
I agree, and the problem is that they are such a nice duck and I have tons of images but keep going back again and again. I like your comment about them swimming in honey.
Wood duck are so colorful, love the color of the water in the second image.
Yes they sure have some very nice colours on them, and I think I agree with you on the colour of the water on the second image as I think it makes the wood duck stand out a bit more.

Thanks very much for your comments and agree with with you on the second image. We sure have fun with these ducks as they come in real close for us.
Terrific, Dennis! You always capture those beautiful wood duck colors, and that gold water is spectacular! Best, Pam
Thanks Pam for the compliments and glad that you enjoyed these images. Yes that honey looking water looks neat in that shot, but still prefer the darker tones as it makes them stand out much better.

If so inclined...it would be an easy image to add space to.
