Meet Zoe, She is 5 days old here. You may remember i posted the maternity pictures of her momma here a few weeks back.

I think your composition is fine for what you were after. The b/w conversion looks muddy to me and I'd take care of the newborn skin issues (nose, cheeks). I'd make the baby straighter in the frame. The face is soft, but if you were focusing on the lips then you meant to do that.
In general, I'm not a fan of this kind of posing for newborns so I'm a bit of an old fart. Don't mind me.
eta: I have a "baby" girl named Zoe, too. Except she's eight now. Boo-hoo!
