    # Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/250 second ===> 0.004 second
    # Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 45/10 ===> ƒ/4.5
    # Exposure Program = manual control (1)
    # ISO Speed Ratings = 1000

    this part completely blows my mind.. :|

    Cowabunga!! :jawdropI am impressed and jealous! One, that you were able to go to a Chicago concert and two, that you got such amazing pictures!! (We did have the pleasure of attending a Chicago concert last year, but my pics aren't anything like these......).

    For image #2 I timed the light just right after watching the lighting cycle.

    I used a Canon 5D and switched back and forth between my 100mm-400mm and my 500mm

    Thanks Divamum!! I shoot all my concert shots handheld and a majority of the time they are taken from a great distance and I need the 500mm lens.

    Here's a few hand held shots with the 500mm and the shutter speeds.

    I've had little to no success with the 70-200 and got rid of it after two concerts.

    Here's one that came out OK using it.
