Canon 16-35mm rotating type zoom?

So would the rotating type zoom on the Canon 16-35mm cause any problems using a circular polarizer on the front? I was all set to get one when the rebates come out, but this is adding to my skepticism of this lens.

it does not rotate. the zoom is internal to the lens. c-pl is fine. i recommend a slim version, so you won't have possibility of vignetting.

    cheers
