Once a year MOTOCROSS - Advice/Help
Okay once a year I shoot Motocross when it comes to Hangtown...Probably need to do it more often.
Question shutter speed and appreture using a long lens say 300mm or 70-200mm 2.8 what gives the best pictures?
So I shot some pics at a slow shutter speed and I like the blurr in the tires though the body isn't clear either 1/200th of a second, not much difference at 300th. There is a difference around 600-800th of a second and then again +1,000th. When over 800th the tire motion starts to disappear. What is considered the perfect setting if you of course can get there?
Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
Thanks for your imput.
1/160th f7.1
320th f5
3200th f4
1/1000th f2.8
So maybe the pictures are to random to really give an answer.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
No flash I am sure that will or would add another dimension.
Thanks for looking.
Heck after looking at them on this post maybe they all are okay in there own way or maybe I am just out in the dark?

Thanks for the reply I guess the real answer falls in the question just depends on what your looking for. Crisp images that show the action and the detail and I am sure there is a balancing act that must be played. To strive for the perfect photo I guess really exists in the eye of the beholder?

Thank you, that means alot. I'm new at this and it makes all the reading and trying to learn this stuff worth it when your peers like your work.
Yea, sorry about the proof thing, I just linked it from my smugmug page. Don't want the racers stealing, lol.

Because you're using an attachment and attachments are limited to one per page and they're size limited as well (which is why they're blurry).
