Will PayPal become an option any time soon ?

Hi, it looks like customers can only pay with credit card, and PayPal is not an option at this point. Is that so ? Any plans to make payments through PayPal available any time soon ? Thanks ! Celso.

Hi Andy,
I'm new to SmugMug, still in the trail period, but am loving it already. I agree it would be great to have the PayPal option for my customers as well. I do all of my online shopping with Paypal as I find it convenient and feel comfortable using it. No pressure here, but is there a chance that by the time my 12 days are over, there would be a PayPal option for purchases . As I said, no pressure.

You've inadvertently given me the largest laugh I've had all week :-)

Non-US Pros have been asking for any form of non $USD payment (for customers purchasing images) for about 5 years. I think the odds of it dropping in the next 12 months (let alone 12 days) are basically nil.

On the other hand, the amazing level of customisation available means it is possible (with lots of work) to integrate a paypal payment system into your Smugmug site (Check my site for an example - http://www.nzsnaps.com/Motorsport/Rallying/2009-Otago-Classic-Rally-1/8248110_rzfZ3D#539500844_9ZCHZ )

@Andy: When will "international" users have a checkout that works in the correct currency? Paypal is good and all, but all it does is withdraw the money differently. If people in the EU are seeing USD prices and nothing else, they generally won't part with any money that way, which is a shame as it would make things so much simpler if I could just use an all-in-one checkout system through smugmug like US folk can.

I would like to see a Paypal option for online payments. I have a paypal Mastercard Debit Card and it would help me out a lot if my earnings were deposited into that account directly from Smugmug! I think I'd be willing to deal with the payment fee that paypal extracts as well. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. :S
