Day Trippin' - The Big Easy

My wife and I spent today in the Big Easy as we celebrated our 25th anniversary. It was a hot sticky day. The oleander was in bloom. Rowdy in every direction. That's New Orleans!

14 is absolutely exceptional! That is an excellent vantage point on a New Orleans institution.

In #2, you may wish to crop out the flag. For me, that's getting all my attention when I look at.

Overall, excellent set of a wonderful city that is a little rowdy and unexpected in every direction.

Ha Ha.........it is NOTHING like disney!

Most of the shops in the french quarter should be rated R at minimum.....and on up to X from there....

We had a good day though....a fun filled afternoon.

I love your street shots. You can't hit an ugly building in the Quarter and your post-processing really brings out the history there. Happy 25th!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. It looks as if #14 is the most popular. Schmoo's New Orleans photographs that she shared here a good while back inspired that shot. She had a superb shot inside the Cafe Dumonde. You can find it here

I like #11 as well, but i think #14 is my favorite. I think the story it tells is a little more complete and has less distractions going on.
