For some reason this photo brings to my mind a fragment from the Lay of the Last Minstrel by sir Walter Scott:

...And then he took the cross divine,
Where the sun shines fair on Carlisle wall,
And died for her sake in Palestine;
So Love was still the lord of all...
I'm a lazy portraitist. I only shoot beautiful women.

    No. This is not a candid shot. I don't want her to be relaxed, I want pride and distance and stiff back :)

    Now I remember. She kind of reminds me of the lead singer in that 60's English folk group, "Pentangle." That same haunting, other-century look.

    Both ROCK my world but I prefer the 1st image better.

    Nice work. I like the second one better...face, expression. I just wish she'd had a hair brush. I'm not one that thinks every hair has to be in place, but even for the natural look, her hair is very lacking in number two.
