Oak in B&W

I don't do that many B&W photos, but this one was screaming for conversion in my mind. Taken the same day and in the same park as my "rapture" photo, but a different tree and a different field. This was actually taken earlier in the day that that photo, with the sun higher in the sky, but it appears to be lower because you are looking up a pretty steep hill.

Thoughts are appreciated!

That tree is stunning and the B&W is very well done. I'll suggest an alternate crop, moving the bottom edge above the lower cluster of bright leaves. The tree becomes more prominent and the sunlight still creates the dramatic lighting below the tree, but with less distraction.

Very cool shot! I like the crop suggestion as well.

Thanks you two! I like the crop suggestion too, for certain applications. Loose a tad too many pixels to make it the main version though.
