Since we are living though a never-ending mud season after a never-ending winter up here in Northern New England, your horses have my deepest sympathy. They don't look happy. You captured the mood nicely. Our neighbor's sheep take on the same pose in bad weather, turn their rumps into the wind and endure.

Thanks for looking and the comment........:D I think they like the rain better than when it is 115 degrees.
Nice photo. I like the how the water shows up on the backs of the horses.
Thanks Mary K. ..... I actual think they like the water and mud. I have had my horse try to lay down in mud and water while I was riding him, and roll over..... Or maybe he just wanted to unload me
I don't mean to sound crass or anything, I'm just saying this in the most literal way possible, but is that a pile of horse crap in the bottom right under that hoof? I didn't notice it at first but on a second glimpse it looks kind of.. you know, greenish. If that's not what it is, that's just what I thought it might be when I first noticed it.
