Yes, I posted this in People by way of an announcement, but since I know some don't frequent there - and I've wittered on so much about our impending puppy - I thought Richard might let me beg indulgence just this once............... :tiptoe

This was the day he arrived - he's two weeks bigger than this now! Golly, had forgotten how fast they grow. And grow. And GROW!

    awwww.
Love the middle shot. I love your daughter's interaction with the new pup, I like the little details of her colorful sillybands and the pen markings on her arm. I have to wonder what she's counting down to and which silly bands they are:).
    Glad you posted them.

This makes me feel guilty that we won't get our son a dog or a new kitty since we lost our last one. He has been reduced to getting "sea monkeys" and he talks to them and named all three--so sad:)

Clearly you don't watch Dr Who :D:D:D (for the uninitiated, in series 6 - currently airing - the main threat is something called "The Silence", which is a malevolent alien which you forget about unless you're actually looking straight at it. So the protaganists keep tallies on their arms whenever they see one so that they will "remember" afterwards. She and her friends are fans of the show...)

Sillybands given to her by one of the adults leads from a show she sang chorus in last year (adult) - she promised she'd leave them on all year... and has :D

We lost Beau last July, so it's taken us a while. It's the longest we've been dogless in nearly 20 years, and boy oh BOY does it feel good to have hair in the house again! Helps that this little guy is like The Perfect Puppy - I've never had a dog quite as trainable as this fellow. Oh, I'm sure he'll be a right little bugger during the adolescent phase to come, but he's learning so fast and furious right now that hopefully we'll have laid the groundrules by then :D

He's a Bearded Collie, btw - they look like this when they're all grown up, ie NOTHING AT ALL like their puppy selves! (Pleased to see a brown one on that page - they're not as common, although most litters are split between the black/greys and browns. This is our first brown, and I'm completely in love with the little guy!)

Now you've shown your colours. That was one of the better season openers ever.

ps, I don't have dogs but I've got a couple of ideas for dog work that should fit into street. Gotta play.

Muahahahahaha.... Raised on Classic Who, but only just caught up with NuWho this year and now a total addict. Prefer the 10th Doctor and the RTD regime, but enjoying this series too. Agree that was a terrific opener, although my favorite ep this series is Idris/Tardis - just so *lyrical* (and beautifully, shot & lit fwiw - gotta keep this photographically related somehow!!)

/Dr Who digression (before Richard throttles me .... rolleyes1.gif)

It was fun watching the affair between The Dr and Idris progress. Now please, not too many spoilers. I'm a week or so behind you.
