They're heading your way
Heading your way if you live south of the 49th that is.I could hear a bunch of squaking out my window the other day and looked up to see a large flock of Snow Geese heading south for the winter.I grabed my camera in time for the second wave of them. The shots may not be that good but it's my first time capturing snow geese so I was happy.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

The honkers are gathering on the north Sask right now - just down the hill from us. They squack and squack at night - goose, coyote, dog, goose, coyote, dog. I'm pretty sure there are other species in the flock in the field - way too dark to be canada geese. But snow geese - how cool is that.
Great shots - they are sure pretty.

I am glad you clarified something for me....all this time I thought those birds going over my house were snow geese? You know, there white, yellow bills, gray patches on the wings, follow the garbage trucks....
