Armed Forces Torchlight Parade 2011

This was my first real outing with the D7000. I borrowed a friends SB-600 and this is a few of the results. This is an annual event in Spokane, WA. We walked along with the Honor Flight truck and too pics.

This lady was watching for her husband on the truck. He is the recipient of a Purple Heart.

    I wish my Dad could have participated in something like this before he died last year. He was a decorated WWII pilot. He DID get to the dedication of the WWII Memorial in DC though.

    John, you should be very proud of your dad!! They went through hell for us and are true heroes!! I am sure that I am not telling you something that you don't already know though:). Most of our young people do not even know who these men and women are and that in very sad IMHO!
