Nice to see continued innovation and pushing the boundaries of resolution and image capture rather than adding gimics.

I hope they've given battery life, heat, and access/use of menus and button layout some attention as well. The tiny dot-matrix styled lcd top screen on the H4D-40 I had for a while was abysmal and felt like stepping back in time scrolling through meuns, the read lcd screen wasn't much better.

    Has a price been announced?

MF gear gets pigeon-holed enough as it is, this won't help that as the 6 image combination thing will really restrict it still-life. In one-shot mode at 50 Mpixel resolution it's up against the new Sigma (though not a "true" 40+ Mpixel camera), it's own H4D-40 and 31 models, the Phase One Mamiya gear and the Pentax 645D which I'll guess are all significantly cheaper than this 200M beast.
If at first you don't succeed - maybe sky diving isn't for you.

    $44K - HOLY CRAP!!

From a quick look it's all about the back and the multi image capture technology whilst the rest of the H4D stuff remains the same.
ISO 50 - 800 and ISO 800 on the H4D family is quite noisy
    Max of 1/800 shutter speed
3.0" lcd .... I hope it's a different, better one to the typical H4D ones.
Looks like they've concentrated purely on resolution and left the other areas alone that makers like Phase One and Pentax are working on to make MF Digital more practical and attractive to the rest of the digial camera market.

If they haven't changed the battery system I'd hate to think how short a life it has shooting in the 200 Mpixel style

As much as I love Medium Format, $44K for a "one trick pony" camera is a bit too nuts for me!
