Anyway, still very nice, of course.
Thanks, Bruche.

Thanks a lot, BTL. With the image, I used the default sharpening feature of LR 3 and not photoshop's USM command. Maybe I need to soften this one a little. Thanks.

Could you go over your processing step?
How are you adding the frame?

Thanks, dbveto. Kindly clarify: Are you asking if I over-processed my images or you are asking how I am doing my process in LR 3? Thanks. The frame was added using photoshop, Sir.

As to your processing----I like your PP work--I like that it's oversharpened to the point of cutting the viewers eyeballs--it's uniquely Jiro.
There are some people you just know whose shot it is by looking at it, and this one says "jiro".
Somewhere along the way I lost my "lizzard_nyc" processing. I used to do high contrast black and white, I loved it--LOVED it and usually oversaturated my colors plus high contrast. It wasn't for everybody, ok it wasn't for most, but you knew a lizzard_nyc shot when you saw one. My shots are now considered better I think and generally people are much happier with my latest processing--but you can't tell a lizzard_nyc from the next guy which kind of sucks!
So I say keep up your unique processing, I love it.

Thanks, Juano. Glad you like it.

Thanks, Liz. I only started in digital photography last November, 2010 so I am still finding my "style". I love sharp images so maybe that's why I tend to use this style when I'm processing my work. I know, others might not appreciate them but I do appreciate the feedback. I could back down a little bit on the sharpening issue if that would help balance the impression on my work. Still learning, if I may say. Thanks for the encouragement.

I basically start from top to bottom using LR's workflow. I start with cropping and straightening, then tone and white balance adjustment. After that I go to color control using the HSL sliders adjusting each colors' saturation and luminance values depending on my subjective preference. After that I go to noise reduction before I apply sharpening and then I activate the lens profile correction feature of LR. That's it. After that I export it to photoshop for additional contrast adjustment and then I add borders and signature. That's my workflow, Sir. Hope this helps.

How sweet is that?
Thank you very much, Yaflyyadie.

Thanks, DaddyO. I guess that's the benefit of being able to go out once in a while... you're hungry to go get good shots!

I would definitely agree. thumb

I see it as the difference between the artistic side of photography and snap shooting.
Just my two cents.
Thanks for sharing. Very nice work for have only been in digital photography since November. Never be afraid to experiment.
