Hi folks,

I am having issues with the uploader.

I am running Windows 7 SP1 and Internet Explorer 9 with the latest Java Addin.

When I click on upload it takes me to the upload page and immediately, closes and opens the page a few times and tells me that "A problem with this website caused Internet Explorer to close and reopen the tab"

I am unable to get to a different uploader as it happens so fast that I cannot click on the link.

Please help

Thanks,

Thomas

I see you say 'latest java' but please do go to java.com and try updating it anyway? We find that this usually fixes the issue. You can also use the 'try a different uploader' link and try the Flash Uploader for windows/IE. For fastest and best uploading, give our HTML5 uploader a try in Firefox or Chrome browser.

To select a particular uploader in case the one you're using is crashing, here's the direct code to select olde faithful:
    http://www.smugmug.com/photos/new_add.mg?AlbumID=ALBUMNUMBER&uploader=olde

You have to replace ALBUMNUMBER with the album number found here in a typical SM url:
    http://newpics.huntsvillecarscene.com/gallery/3089561_ophJA#169405576_3dWj7

From here you should be able to see the 'try another uploader' link. thumb.gif

Last couple of days I've been getting a similar problem with the uploader on 3 different computers. The drag and drop HTML 5 sporadically will not work. Sometimes it comes up with a message saying there's a problem with the HTML 5 uploader and to use a different one, but clicking on the links does not do anything, you can't even close the window. Sometimes it's just a blank box... and sometimes it works just fine. Tried the java update, didn't fix it. 3 out of 4 times today it didn't load, and I'm using two different computers and using both Firefox and IE9.

I did redo my homepage a bit ago, could some of my code be causing the issue?headscratch.gif

    Thanks!
