Hello there!

How can I find how many photos has been taken on my cameras? I have a Nikon D80 and a D7000.

I have tried to find this info in the manuals but either the info is not there or I am looking in the wrong place.

Thanks

There is or was a Windows program called Photome that could give you all kinds of information about your camera.

    Thanks

But I wonder if there is a setting in the camera that will give the info I want.

Both of the programs may give this info but, I really do not think that I need all the other stuff provided by these programs.

Is there an easier way? It will seem to me that, taking into consideration the level of sophistication these cameras have in their software, that there would be something within the camera itself that would easily provide this info.

Yeah, really. But the answer is no. If you've taken less than 10,000 shots and do not reset your file numbering, you can tell that way.
