I was looking over my images I uploaded last night and most of my black and whites have pretty bad pixelation. Never noticed this before, looks fine in Lightroom and Windows Photo viewer.

This image, in the lower left hand side, has some burnt pixels. Which is normally fine, but for some reason, I see the distinctive pixelated line where it goes from data to burnt.
The situation is even worse when I see it via the Smugmug Gallery viewer (it's image 19 o 43)

I did fill in the blacks in lightroom and reupload, and that helps the situation, but doesn't give me the contrast I need in the image.
I am running Windows 7 and viewing through FireFox 4.0.1
I did try via IE, and it looks much better. I'm at a loss.
As I can't control which viewer the user is running, any idea how to optimize the image for all viewers??

Mine were doing the same thing, and I looked at yours and say the same pixelation.
Working on a Macbook pro running Firefox they all have pixelation in the black areas and anywhere it fades lighter, its really blocky and chunky. Not a pleasant look.
but get this, looked at all the same images from my iMac in studio running firefox, and they all look fantastic.
anyone have any thoughts?

not sure whats causing it, same browser on different machines. As far as I can tell everything is configured the same on the browsers and machines. Just different monitors.
