    They take off on me!

Beautiful! There's a "bathing spot" near Mountain View where they congregate. My lens can't get close enough but I enjoy watching them fly in and land -- very gracefully, not like their brown cousins -- I might add.

I read that white pelicans work together as a group to "herd the fish" in one spot, and then they all dig in!

    Really good shot, Jeff, excellent!

    You all have sun?
    Haven't seen that recently.

makes a great photo. I love group shots, and that is a very good one.

Dee how are you ,very good I hope thumb.gif yes I will post a pictureof the feeding . most of the time they swim in a group and move in to shore the ones in front feed and move out and the one's behind move in . If you go to a spot were you have whites go early and see in they move in by shore and see if you can get close enough .they seem to sleep all afternoon .thanks for the nice comment and if you can not get close come to la and get some shots thumb.gif
