Exporting from LR as jpeg

I've noticed that when I batch process & export from LR (from RAW to Jpeg) to a folder before uploading to SM that the files are saved at 72 ppi. Is this sufficient for prints ordered from my galleries?
I've just started using LR and shoot with a Nikon D3s and thought they would be saved at 300 ppi. I've tried everything from the export menu but no go.
Does it even matter what the ppi is when opened in another program?

Thanks,
Jon

dpi is meaningless for what you're doing. It could be 1 dpi, as long as you aren't throwing away pixels. It's the pixel dimensions you are concerned about.

Also, stop exporting before uploading to SmugMug! Use their publishing plugin. The photos still get exported before upload, but they get cleaned up afterwards, and you don't have to mess around with the export.

    Thanks! I suspected as much.
I knew about the plugin and can't seem to get it working, but I've also been cropping in another program which just seems handier, then exporting to SM. I realize I could save a bunch of time here.

How would I get the Plugin to work, because it's already shown as enabled when I check the plugin manager in the export window? I didn't download the SM plugin but it's there.

You should ask that question in the support forum or write directly to SmugMug help.
