Ducks on Ice with my Canon 70-200L Mark II and 2XIII Extender

Check these out, I shot some ducks and geese landing and playing around in some open water on a frozen river.

    For me, I'd liked to have seen a bit more variation of shot / pov etc.
    Since you mention the gear used in the title, I wonder if this was just a first outing / trial with said new eqt? :)

    Would've thought there was some potential for lower speed 'blurs' - as the colour was there ... and, if you could've got down to water level (safely) some shots from a much lower viewpoint, maybe also isolating smaller chunks of the action

    Iced over (or partially so) water provides a ready made platform to rest the gear on for low-level shots.

    All imo, of course.

    I agree that a lower perspective would improve the images but living in Florida makes it easier and a whole lot chilly to get down.
