I love this time of year! Early spring is marked by the return of the Canada Geese. And shortly thereafter, the babies follow ...

I went searching this weekend to see if I could find a few goslings. Well, I kind of hit the mother lode, 20+ goslings under the watchful eye of four adults.

The flock was heading down a small embankment for a quick lesson in swimming and feeding/drinking. Two adults headed out on a small pond to demonstrate today's lesson. The goslings watched and imitated from shore ...

First, stick your bill in the water ...

Then, lift your head up to drink ...

After a bit of practice, it's on to the water to try it while swimming ...

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry and Pam. I don't do a lot of nature/wildlife photography, so when I do venture out, slow moving objects seem to work best :D.

Haven't had a lot of success with BIF shots. I guess practice makes perfect ...

    Thanks again,
