Book by Gilles Martin and Ronan Laoec, review by ian408

Nature photographer Gilles Martin has teamed up with writer Ronan Laoec to produce a book that delights the eyes with it’s beautiful images while teaching the reader the art of making macro photographs.

The text covers equipment and technique whether shooting in the field or studio. Martin and Laoec cover a wide variety of each. From the simple to complex, each is presented in an understandable manner.

One of the first photos in the book is the eye of a Crested Gecko. One hardly fails to notice the detail in the eye. Over three hundred photos of similar quality demonstrate the art of macro photography.

Whether you purchase this book for the stunning examples or to learn more about macro photography is up to you. Either way, it’s a book worth space on any photographers bookshelf.
