Hi all,

Here are a couple of shots of downtown Los Angeles taken last weekend. The first is with my UWA lens. The second one is with my fisheye. Thanks for looking! :D

    Outstanding shots! Really like #1 with its vertical comp.

    Nice shots. I love the composition of the first one. The blue light reflected off the lines of the building is amazing, and the way those lines and the traffic draw your eye to bright portion of the sky is excellent. Well done.

    Nice.

    I think I would have liked #2 even more if left and right were better balanced in terms of the brake lights, i.e. if the left had more lights, or the right had fewer, so it was more even.

    Thanks for all the feedback guys. Appreciate it. I too like #1 more than #2 as it seems better balanced. I do like the fisheye effect of #2.

    On another note, I completed my FIRST tandem skydive this memorial day. How awesome was that? wings.gifbarb

    Here is a short video of the dive (I have to show-off). I have signed up for the course towards becoming a licensed skydiver. I have been bit by the bug. :ivar:ivar:ivar

    Could you tell me what settings you used? I have done a little night photography but nothing like this.

    Hi there,

    Sure. The exif data is as follows:

    Exif for #1
    =======

    ISO 200, F/14, 10" 15mm, Nikon D700, Nikon 14-24mm

    Exif for #2
    =======

    ISO 200, F/14, 6", 16mm, Nikon D700, Nikon 16mm Fisheye

    I try and shoot around 10 to 30 minutes after the sun has set (i.e. during civil twilight time). I feel the best colors emerge during that time. Try it out. It's a lot of fun! :D
