For what it's worth, "...of the day" was one of the ideas bouncing around in my head for "light at the end". I see nothing wrong with the title just like you have it.
The image stands alone for the theme, so if you want to leave the theme out of the title then maybe something like "Closing another day" or "Sinking Sun".
Beautiful shot and honestly, I just love all your photos (checked your stunning gallery!) Makes me want to travel there. Can't be much help with title though beyond what's been suggested. GP
The above photo is amazing as are most of the landscapes on your website. You really nailed this shot it by the way you framed it; making the more powerful elements of sun and ocean take a more subtle place in the photo rather than front and center.
Amazing images Greg. I love the first one the most. And I am not a big fan of having the title spell out the theme for the viewer. "..the Day" works just fine in my opinion. :B
I really like the second one. The lines of clouds lead to the sun, drawing your eye back to the center of the photo. Also, I like the coloring better; the HDR effect in the first one is a bit too out-front for my taste.
The reflecting clouds, though, are stunning.
The goal of my photography is is the effective, original communication of a feeling expressing truth, beauty, or love.
They are both wonderful! It is difficult for me to choose one over the other. I like the light and shadow on the beach in the first. The reflection in the second is superb. The second is closer to the end of the day, so maybe it expresses the theme better.
Wow!!! All three are wonderful... and quite different from one another. I think I'm still favoring #1, though.
In #2, the light and lines are wonderful, but I miss the reference context of the shoreline in #1. It could have been taken anywhere (well... anywhere over a large body of water). Also the (previously referenced) compositional choice in #1 of placing the light at the far right of the image really appeals to me.
Gotta say that # 3 is compelling, too. The gradient color changes from green at the bottom through the aqua sea to the blue gray sky is wonderful. And the leading lines in the foreground are effective, too. Yet for some reason, I keep coming back to the first one.
What a shame that you have to pick from such a collection...
Greg, you do make beautiful art! I favor this last one (and I can't believe that!), because I find fascinating the shape of the lightening mirrored (roughly) in the shape of the sand trails through the shore grasses.
May I ask, Greg, what lens did you use on the second and third shots? I am assuming it is the same for both shots...and maybe the first as well?
We have had an incredible couple of weeks of light around here, which is nice, considering we did not see the sun for nearly the entire month of May.
Title? Hmmm. Maybe "At Storm's End"

Tough call as they are all great shots. I think I still prefer your first shot - for this theme - but this last one is a very close second. (I'm always drawn to lighthouses!) I absolutely love the second shot and am intrigued with the 3rd, but feel like the first might work better for this challenge and draw the viewer into the shot. Hope this helps!

That said, this is a beautiful shot.

I'd do something nerdy like "7 pm, 40 degrees north" but that's probably because I've been obsessing lately by how long sunset and twilight lasts.

Would have to come up with a title for this one like "Fire on the ocean, thunder on the sea."
