- Still thinking for a better title, but for now it's "A simple match"
Any thoughts? - Thank you,

Thank you so much Karin,
That is a photo I took at St.Mary's cathedral in Ottawa - it's an HDR, adjusted even more in PS after - yes, I worked quite a bit on it and this is the original size of it:

- for the challenge I thought to crop it on the sides in order to draw the eyes to the windows.
However, I was so proud of the match I took this morning

Thank you "powder" and Leah,
I always liked this kind of nostalgic feeling of the evening by the water
- For the "brass" - I had the WB set up for shadow - this is how I got the color.
I can cool it of a little maybe…

Thank you WhatSheSaw and Leah,
I hesitated with this one because the beauty of this piece of architecture appears better in the original size.
- I provided a link to it, but maybe it's better if I insert it directly. Here it is:
I feel like it's a shame to crop it. What to you guys think?

My first thought was to take a shot of somebody lighting a cigarette, but my husband didn't want to cooperate
I may try a SP, if I'll have the time

The first shot has a lot going for it. The sun stars and flare, the action implied in the girl leaning forward toward the ducks, etc. I figured that you must have processed it differently to get that color, but the figure on the right seems a bit dark. Both are somewhat silhouetted but it seems like we should either him a bit more clearly or more as a silhouette - if that makes sense. I think it would be great if you could highlight the rim lighting around their heads a bit?
I also like the third shot, and it is hard for me to know which would be the strongest for the challenge. All I can say is that my current preference would be 2, then 3, and then 1 - but I like them all. Good luck with it!

Thank you Brian, I'm happy that someone encouraged me for the un-cropped version of the ceiling.
After thinking and thinking though, I believe the cropped one responds best to the theme, showing the light at the end
undisrupted by other lateral distractions.

Thank you so much Mark, I liked #1 a lot too for the same reason and I also liked very much the match.
However I think that #2 will do it better, because is more simple and direct to the point, plus the subject matter
(this beautiful cathedral ceiling) is more or less unique.
Thank you very much everyone for the help and I wish you success in the challenge!
