Hoverfly - Ocyptamus Costatus

a small little hoverfly, one I personally do not see very often was cruising these bulbs, danger was around the corner closer then he was aware of though as a Assassin bug was watching this little fellow VERY closely, these move SO quick and dont stick around very long at all,,

Lovely series- interesting looking hover- esp like #2 & 5.
Interesting plant too - looks a bit like a poinsettia ?

Thank you Brian,, yes, unique plant but not a Poinsettia,, does somewhat resemble one though with its leaf coloration near the center
