I notice the big black frame first and the composition is really good of the photo itself. The halo around the center distracts the eye, but otherwise it is a very nice shot.

I like the composition and the crop is fine. Get rid of the halos and that "frame".

I think the crop is great! As for the halo, it depends on how it happened in the first place. If you used some sort of HDR program to blend exposures, you may have to adjust the settings to find a compromise between the dynamic range you want and artifacts like the halo.

But if it was made by adjustment layers and making in Photoshop, then you may just need to use a smaller brush, lower opacity and zoom way in for more precise fine-tuning.
