congratulations lynnesite, on her wonderful quality of light image,
"sand bath terminus with gnats", you have won challenge 16! pm me with your choice of prize from the print catalog at smugmug, and i shall make it happen....
Congratulations Lynnesite, I love the luminescent quality of light on the horse's hide. Nice shot.
Thanks, Dave, Andy and Sid. And thanks to my indefatigable model, the Divine Miss Em for her forebearance (she would prefer scritches over the aimed lens, hence the sand bath...) Maybe the chosen prize will have to feature Herself in print form.
lynnsite, nice to meet you... for a while i thought you were an alter ego of my friendly neighbor lynnma - her sneaky way of getting two entries into the challenges!
Thanks, and you can't have too many Lynnes, uh, Lynns.
One of my "secrets" to these hairy images is not to wash her mane and tail, and of course, not to clip whiskers. When she's clean, it's easy to blow the highlights out or if it's properly exposed, the hair isn't "interesting". So if you take a look at <http://www.photo.lynnesite.com/gallery/143639> which is a toned series, just laugh at knowing her mane and tail are dirty blonde instead of brilliant white. ;-)

It makes it more real to do the work in life and not PS, You have an excellent shot and even though I was faced with some truly amazing shots, I also recognised a winner. Congrats.
