@ Brian... the stick figures. Actually, my first reaction was to clone them out. However, as I let the photo set in, I did get that same sense as you, that these "stick men" added a little drama to the photo. I can't say that when I took the photo, I had this in mind but I did see that they added to the story after I downloaded and worked it in post.
Here is one of the above images but with a little grain added. I don't normally do grain in my conversions but I think it works well with this one:

Ha... actually, a few of us guys were just talking about this very thing. There haven't been any boys born in my wife's family in about 35 years and all the gals are very beautiful. The last 5 kids born have all been boys though so I think the matriarchal era is over.
