On June 4 Connecticut held the first 3 wall handball tournament in Manchester. Thought you might enjoy some of the action of this great and almost unknown sport. Handball can be played on one, three and four wall courts. It is the oldest game that is played with a ball, and one of the most difficult to learn. Fact: a pro handball player can hit the ball over 80 miles an hour in a court that is 20X20X40 feet.

Keep your eyes on the ball and get into shooting position so one does not have to reach for the ball.

At times one gets air borne but it is best to keep your feet on the floor. All your power drives from your stance.

Yes one can hit the ball with the open hand or a closed fist. Either way keep your eyes on the ball, you can not hit that which you can not see.DSC0115-2exposure-M.jpg
