color-coordinated family photos

Much of my immediate and some extended family will be getting together in a couple of weeks. My dad suggested we do a family portrait with the good ol' white shirt and jeans theme. I immediately cringed and am trying to nudge him and my aunt towards something more like a variation on a theme rather than sea of monotone. I told them everything I tell my clients, but I'm thinking I may need more examples of larger families in related but not identical outfits.

Anyone have any examples?

Andy... that photo is so full of AWESOME! Here is one vote for the coordinated dress!!!

I recently did a very large family portrait session and all the adults wore white tops with some adding lime green accents, and then all the kiddos were in different variations of line green tops/dresses. It actually looked really cute and worked awesome for our sunny outdoor location.
