Howdy All

Taos Pueblo Cemetery.

The Pueblo has been inhabited for
over 1000 years, and still has about
150 full time residents.

Thanks for looking, shot with modded D70S.

That's an interesting scene, Craig. I imagine that the walled-in area filled up quite a long time ago. Do you have to be a full-blooded Indian to be able to live in the pueblo?

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Very nice!

    Love those clouds Craig.

That's another place I've not been to there. Lovely area indeed!

    Howdy Tom,

It's a wonderful area, the folks at/in the Pueblo were very
nice and were very gracious, despite all the "negative" reviews
on how they treat outsiders. They were very glad to answer all
our questions and were pleased to have us in there Village.

The Taos Pueblo is a UNESCO Heritage site, and they aren't allowed
to modernize it, so many of the young people don't/ won't live there.

I think the Pueblo Community is very close knit, not sure about
someone outside the Tribe living there.

    Howdy You,

It was quite a day, we thought that we might get caught in the
Thunderstorm, never thought about it sleeting/small hail.

You have to include the Pueblo on your next trip there, it's right outside
Taos about 6miles or so, and can't even begin to describe the feeling
and History that's there. There are unlimited shooting opportunities,
as long as you stay within the Boundaries and ask before taking
    Portraits.

Hope all is going well with you and yours Up North<G>

The clouds are fitting for the subject thumb.gif I like how you composed this shot. Using your IR camera really added a 'mood' to it.

Do they use the side door to enter?

    Howdy Mary,

Thanks very much, IR really does heighten the mood and feel of
    the Clouds.

Plus, having such a wonderful setting and location doesn't hurt!!!

    Howdy Juano,

Thanks very much, it was really such a
wonderful place to just see and learn the
History, and to get to shoot at this Pueblo was special.

So many of the Other Pueblo's don't
    allow photography.
    Take care,
