"Make a copy" not working today

I cannot get "Make a copy" to work. It acts like it's working, but no copy shows up anywhere in the gallery. FF w/ Vista, any gallery. No more time to elaborate, sorry! Later...

I just tried to make a copy your Other > Test-SmugMug gallery and it worked fine. I captioned my copy of the photo # 5 in it.
I used FF4 on Win7.

Even when "make a copy" was working, there were random glitches. So it's really nice to be able to see the copy in front of you. But anyway, I'm on FF 4 with Vista, and it wasn't working all evening. I was in a few unlisted galleries in my "Trudy & Bryan Wedding" sub-category.
Someone was maintaining that the copy has always showed up at the end of the gallery if we had our "arrange" settings at a certain sort order. I don't know if that was true, because I've almost never set sort orders. So mine should have presumably gone beside the original. Whatever the case is, my copies are 95% of the time going to the end now. The random times that they went beside the original, I did not have any different sorts going on in the settings; it was just random.
Anyway, I hope all this can get sorted out. I use that tool a lot. I know some people think it's useless, but when you caption & keyword & crop & color correct a lot here on SmugMug as I do (I have no other fast way to do that right now), it's much faster to make a copy than re-upload. This is why the gallery-picker in the "move" tool is also so important. http://www.digitalgrin.com/showthread.php?t=199499 Also, SmugMug for some inexplicable reason uses the "description" field from PS's IPTC data instead of the "title" field, for captions... very strange. So people have to re-caption every single photo that they've already captioned using the logical field in PS... another reason to use "make a copy" once we've gone to that work here. Well, I'll see if it's working today.

Having the same trouble again. I tried copying this photo: http://www.winsomeworks.com/Family/Trudy-Bryan-Wedding/Gojeski-Yoder-BalloonLanding/17451784_dr33Fh#1328006459_zQFNvLL and several others in that same gallery. It's unlisted, but you've got the link here. Again, it "acts" like it's churning out the copy, but then no copy appears. This was only a 2-page gallery when I tried, so it's not as if it got lost. I'm on FF & Vista

Incidentally, even though I should have known why "make a copy" didn't work this time, there really should be a message of some type to let people know (in case they're not fully awake) that you can't "make a copy" on RAW files if that is indeed the case. Because I've tried to do this a couple more times, forgetting... And even though it made sense at first, I wondered this later: we can download a JPG from a RAW file through the "Save Photo" option (oddly, that's what you get if you hit "Original", which is bad UI). But if that's so, then a JPG is being generated somewhere. So... just wondering why "make a copy" wouldn't work on RAW? I never heard back whether it's supposed to work or not. I thought JPGs were what's actually displaying, right?

Anna Lisa, it's working as expected for me - please write our Support Heroes with details, we'll investigate why it's not working for you.

We don't make copy of videos, Samir. We should do something better in the UI, I'm sorry.

A UI change eliminating the 'Make a Copy' option on videos would be great.
