Sunset on the Marsh

Headed down to the beach tonight on an ice cream run and grabbed the camera and tripod in case of a decent sunset. There is a preserved salt marsh adjacent to the beach and the sun was setting in just the right spot to try to play with some leading lines among the marsh. This was the best result. Appreciate your thoughts.

It's funny because I shot this as a 6-bracket HDR and wasn't happy with the dark sky and prominent sun so I went back and omitted the darkest bracket to get the shot above. Thought it looked a bit more natural this way.
Appreciate your thoughts!

Have you tried reverse graduated ND filters? They are very helpful for sunrise and sunset shots.

I have one grad ND but seem to keep forgetting to use it. As luck would have it, the no-see-ums found me as I shot this so I can only imagine ending up using the ND filter to scratch at my skin rather than using it to adjust the shot
I'll have to remember to grab it out of the bag next time.

I use both graduated and reverse graduated ND filters from Singh-Ray:
