The color one had me making that amazed "whoooooooooshhhhh" sound when I scrolled down. AWESOME capture, Dan, as usual.

The converted shot, not so much. I don't know if that's because of my inherent prejudice against mono images, or if there's something in the image itself that could be improved, so don't take it personally. I do think that the mono image blends much more than the color one, making it far less obvious that it's a reflection.
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

Thanks Will. I prefer the color as well, but I have gotten lots of positive feedback on the b&w so I thought I'd post it. This art form, like all art forms is so subjective. Appreciate the feedback :D

really nice Dan, the b/w really works for me as there is very little color in the first image but ther is plenty of contrast.

Man.....that's a gorgeous scene. I'll lean towards the B&W because the darker sky seems to make the mountain pop more....... drags your eye right in.

Super image of an iconic scene. The B&W does it for me. The color one looks a bit flat. Would have been a perfect opportunity for some careful HDR.
