I am going to UNC vs. Stanford baseball game tomorrow and was wondering the rules for bringing in my Canon 7D and 70-200mm 2.8L lens. I can't find anything on the website concerning taking photographs during the game. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling you would be allowed to bring it - especially if there's no stated policy on the home team's website against it. Having said that, 200mm from the stands is woefully short - even with a TC on it. So keep your expectations in check.

I was able to bring in my 70-200mm lens with no problem. My seat was on the front row, just at the end of the dugout next to where the pro's where shooting. However, they were shooting with monster lenses. My guess probably 500-600mm range. Anyway, with my 1.4x I was able to get home plate and the pitchers mound with no problem. 2nd base was stretching it and of course the outfield was really out of the question for what I was using. I had fun and got a few keepers in the process.

Hope you were rooting for UNC. Great game! Will be watching UNC at the CWS.
