Nice set, Nelson. The light works really well in most of them. The flowers in 10 and 12 seem a little out of place, though they work well in #1. I like the reflection of the window in the window in that one.
Out of place
I like the series very much. Funny though, it is exactly the "out of place" or unexpected in number 12 that I'm so attracted to and I think that actually makes it my favorite. It is for me always the surprise that I find desirable and that frame definitely does that for me. The composition, color and the "break" created by the flowers I find very attractive . Somehow there's a softness to the series that makes it quite inviting. Can't wait to see more.
HI there,
I have only been to the older part of the highline not the extension.
It's funny, when I shot there I tried to capture the people and you approached it completely different--the people as bokeh.
I'm drawn to #6 and #9 as it depicts the urban enviornment.
Liz- I had my 35mm prime so I wasn't focused on the people. When I have my 135mm I seem to only shoot people, so I like to mix it up and change my focus. I usually just walk around with one lens.
