Hopefully "less" is "more". As before, your honest comments most welcome.

#3 does it for me. Nicely done!

I do like the implied cross in #2 - lot's to read into that one, but overall I think #3 is the most effective minimalism.

I would also go for #3 as the best among the shots.

On #1, I would probably recommend going for a tighter crop and take out some more from the left side of the frame. I would also probably recommend cloning out some of the white areas in the water near the fisherman and the white streak area near the horizon. Add some boost on the contrast and that's it.

On #2, the tire seems to lack on the balance between the serenity of the shot and the significance of the tire but the shot was nicely executed. A little bit lacking on sharpness that you can do on the pp.

On #4, I was hoping for some supporting element that would show me the height of the smoke pipes. Being a minimalist image, I got the idea though.

Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and to all other guys dropping in with your comments.

On #1, I felt the cropping work for me since its a square crop where subject sometimes are placed more or less in the middle. Those whites I prefer to leave it as it is which isn't exactly blown. I felt it adds sparkles to the pic! However, I acknowledge your desire to be seen your way and I appreciate your input.

Nice work, David. The last one doesn't quite do it for me, but the other three are terrific, especially #3. thumb.gif

Hi David........I really like the first three.....As #4... even numbers sometimes don't make for the best composition.....I think one stack with the smoke would have been a stronger comp. And a little more minimalist:D

    Thank you guys,

Seems #3 is the overwhelming favourite and was glad that the minimalism (could be a better title) does work with no adverse comments. I have some more to share and will post it later.

    Cheers

Nice work. thumb.gif Very appealing feel and look.
The last isn't speaking to me much but it does have something to say none the less.
