Site shows as up but random photos showing as missing

I'm aware that there was a problem with the site earlier today.

I got home and decided to check my site to see if it was back. To my dismay the status blog shows no problems but my site is displaying red x's instead of photos. The places where the x's are showing are places where I'm pulling random photos from galleries using the code from this dgrin post that is also posted on this smug wiki page - http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Random+Photos+Code.

Do you really consider that the site is back to normal?

Please, can you start testing more than basic galleries before you declare "all clear" to the world with a no problem status showing on http://status.smugmug.com/?

Here are two pages from my site, the homepage, and the page reached by clicking "Gallery" in my navbar:

I understand that problems happen, downtimes occur when we don't want them to. What I don't understand is how the site can be marked as operating normally when there are sites like mine that clearly aren't working correctly.

The site shouldn't be marked as having no problems until it is really all clear.

Can I get a status update please?

It's 5:35PM on the east coast.
Your status blog contains 2 messages that service was restored, one at 4:36PM and one at 2:04PM. The last "We found the problem and have restored service." message was an hour ago.

Based on the looks of my site, I would not consider that service is fully restored.
And I see that sites using jfriend's html5 slideshow and the FastLine Media slideshow are showing empty home pages too.

Again, I do understand that sometimes things happen and service is lost. What I don't understand is declaring everything is better when it is not.

We did have everything sorted out, then something else decided it didn't want to work. Hopefully our ops guys can get it sorted out quickly.

    Sorry Denise :cry

Thanks for the update Eric - but you've done it again (smug, not you personally).

It's 6:51PM on the east coast, the status blog has an entry at 6:37PM stating that the site is back online - but I still have missing photos.
This is not the look my home page is supposed to have:

Does this constitute "We have fixed the problem, and the site is back online."???

An hour later, the smug status still says operating normally, and my site still has broken images showing.

I'd really like to understand your procedures to say that everything is working normally.

Hi Denise, we're looking into why the random image function isn't working properly. Stay tuned.
    ETA: also custom sizes.

Denise, I just checked the random and custom sized images on your site and all seems in order, please verify that it's fixed?
