Fathers Day came about a week early this year - my daughter bought me a bird cam (check out wingscapes.com). Hooked it up to the pole that holds the bird feeder - it works pretty good. There is one elusive goldfinch that has managed to avoid setting off the camera :scratch- I'll get him yet :D

I think I'm gonna have fun with this.

She got a great deal on it at a large candle factory in Northern Massachusetts. Not sure she would have paid retail for it. Not sure I would have wanted her to pay retail.

I would love to have this bird cam because we have this OBNOXIOUS bird that is out ALLL NIGHT LONG and it cycles between about 5 or 6 different calls...and it drives me batty!
I dont know what the hell this bird is doing up when it's dark out, and it's whisteling all night and no one talks back!
I once asked a farmer, if he knew what it was and he did tell me but I forgot...and then I asked him to please shoot it.
(I was kidding tho..I just shut my windows)

Finally got a couple of shots of the goldfinch, there must be something about him (color?) that makes the camera less sensitive to him. I got some thistle and sunflower seeds, so maybe with a darker background it'll trigger the camera.

peeking from the backside - the orange bellied sapsucker in the distance is me :D

on the correct side of the feeder this time - a little blurred thanks to raindrops on the lens
